Utopyk & El Fulminador release “Neubauten”
Recently I was in Berlin and went to hear Utopyk and El Fulminador play a live acoustic set of 80s goth music, followed by a chillout DJ set. It was great to meet them and enjoy the friendly vibes at Alaska in Neukölln. Here’s the current lineup of events if you’d like to check out this wine bar/lounge.
Utopyk is also known as Utopyk Jones—here’s a bio for her on Resident Advisor. And El Fulminador is also known as Andrés Castellano. Here’s his bio. They’ve just released a new EP with their unique, signature sound. It’s called “Neubauten.” It’s a great release, just like their last one, it’s 100 bpm with a slight edge to it, and I encourage you to preview it here and then give them some support and buy it on Bandcamp!
